Need a wiring harness for your non-sunroof left hand drive Type 34? Read on...
A couple of years ago I worked with Wiring Works in California to reproduce a wiring harness for the Type 34 that would work well with slight modifications in cars produced from '62-'67. Wiring Works supplies the general VW community with some very nice wiring kits and their reputation is quite good. I have used their products in Bugs and Type 14 Karmann Ghias over the years with great success. When the Type 34 kit was developed, I had it constructed for my own car, but I had to agree to buy 10 kits. Honestly, I felt it was a bit of a stretch that more than 10 kits could be sold. Bob, Wiring Work's owner, told me he'd not make any more unless an order for 20+ units were placed. He's since changed his mind and has agreed to use the reproduction kit made for my car as a model for another limited run of the Type 34 kit. This will save him the development time he normally has because he's not having to reinvent the wheel. A side effect of this is that the kit cost has actually dropped a bit. Kits should be available for sale by the second week of April 2011. Folks have already expressed an interest in three of them, so let me know right away if you are interested and I can get Bob to make more. He is only willing to make these in a 'limited run' and is not interested in knocking them out piecemeal or individually. I'm passing them on at my cost, which means you only pay the base price, plus any shipping and insurance charges. The base price is $420.00 US Dollars.
Email me at gregson62@hotmail.com for details. I can take Paypal, but you pay the fees.
