I’m in a quandary?
The previous owner (or owner before that) replaced the 5 stud wheels with 4 stud disc brakes.
I like the benefit of disc brakes and I do not relish the thought of converting back to 5 stud.
The car came with 4 stud Sprint stars. However, it would be nice to have the car looking period correct with VW rims, hubcaps and beauty rings.
I’m sure that original T34 rims, hubcaps and beauty rings will be hard to find if not ultra expensive.
Therefore do I remain with the Sprint stars or would it be a 'faux pas' if I used later model 4 stud rims, hubcaps and beauty rings from a Type 3 or beetle perhaps?

If you've decided to return to original then you can sell the Sprintstars and make enough to pay for the conversion back to the 5-lug set-up. The rims & brake components are all identical to the T3 of the same year, so they're not expensive nor difficult to find. I'd suggest that you work with Dindo (your Philippines rep) to look for sources & a shop that can handle the work. Then you'll know if it's worthwhile.

I was told the Sprintstars will fetch between $350 and $450 (5 pcs Lemmerz).. I will do some research on your suggestion. Thanks Lee

If you really want both wide 5, and disc brakes up front, then you might want to look at this thread. www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=225527I did this conversion on my own 64 T-34, and it's not readily noticeable, unless your under the car to see it. This is especially true with the stock rims.
