Hi, I've just bought a t34 here in Norway. Iam new to t34, but I also have a type 3 Squareback and had some bugs before that. Here in Bergen we have the largest vintage VW club in Norway and we have a great location together where we are 14 people with each own workshop area + space for winter parking of about 20 cars + clubmeeting room and a small coffearea. My razor needs to be restaurated, and I will start this summer. I just have to get the Square out of the workshop first. I do have some new parts for the razor, the previous owner started collecting all nos rocker panels, front&foglight rings, instruments ++ But I will need a lot more than that when I start. I attached a picture of my t34. Now its white almost yellow. But it was delivered as smoke grey with pearlwhite roof, and thats the colors its gonna be! Inside its brick red, but its old and well used so I will have to get complete new interior. Im one of those that like my car to be original, but with some lowering and nice rims. So I have a set of 17"x7" radars that I hope will fit. Looking forward to start on this project together with my girlfriend who has got the responsibility for all of the interior. Regards, Thomas Attachments:

Welcome to T34 World, Thomas! Your T34 (1964-65) looks nicely original & unmolested. What parts are you still searching for? Here's a map of where you're located (for everyone else).

heheh! Thanks! and for info the north pole is about where it says "everyone" in the line over the map ;D Here is one more picture of my car. As you can see it is something wrong with the profile where the rockerpanel it going over to front and rear fender. I think one of the earlier owners didnt get correct rocker panels and just used something that worked.. I have new NOS rockerpanels and (dont know what its called) front-part of rockerpanels, but I dont have the last part with the rear fender, the one with hole/cover for torsion bars. Lee: I'll properly need a lot of different parts. A bunch of seals for sure ++... But you will know when I've started taking it apart and get an overview. Attachments:

Looks like the headlights are missing the outer chrome rings. If you don't have these already, you can contact CarstenKlein@T34World.org or JurgenMagdelyns@T34World.org to see if they have spares. You should be able to solve the rocker panel area with the repro sheetmetal parts available today from Jurgen. He has everything you need.
Good luck & keep us informed!

Hi Carsten,
I've heard from Lee that it is 31 known t-34 in Norway, but I read in a norwegian vintage vw website that it has been 44 cars registered here. In Bergen, which is the second largest city in Norway, its only my car and one other that I know about. And the other one is not in use and have been stored away in a garage for several years (but not for sale). Some years ago it was another one to. That was being restored and sold to Stavanger. My car was first time registered in our captial Oslo, and the first owner had it from new to 1983. In 1991 it was unregistered when owner number 2 still had it. I heard that owner no.2 was a drunken sailor that should use the restoration time to dry up and have a nice car to have fun with instead of partying.. but party never stoped.. After that the history is more or less unknown to me.

Do you known anyone at the Norwegian vintage VW web site that can get us the T34 registration information so we can update our database?

I dont know anybody who could know more in Norway than I guess Dag Henriksen knows, his name comes up in almost every norwegian page with something about t-34. And thats not alot of pages... However, I can try to put out a request on a forum to see if somebody knows. I'll keep you updated.
Carsten: I'd love to see pictures! I'll properly need you guys to help me with photos of different profiles, interior details and so on when I start.

Hi again, I got my birth certificate on my type 34 some days ago. I thought it was delivered smoke grey with pearl white roof, but that was wrong. The roof was fontana grey when new. Also the interior is Aero red not brick red.. Anyways, the engine is matching number! Does anybody have pictures of a car with same color combinations as mine ? In and outside ?? In my last post I tried in a Norwegian forum to get more info about t34's around here. But unfortunaly I havent got any respons.... Maybe not so strange when its only about 40 type34 who has been registered in Norway.

Smoke Grey is a fairly rare color, being a one year only 1965 Karmann Ghia only color. My wife's Type 14 is still (mostly) it's original Smoke Grey (including the roof) with Aero Red interior, although the one year only front seat Aero inserts have long since been replaced. The rear jump seat is still original, so at least I know what's missing. Tin Grey carpet and trim is all still there. Very classic color combination, in my opinion.

Could you take some pictures of your wifes car and send to me ? I would really like to see the smoke grey and also the combinations inside the car.. I thought I should have red carpet as well. But I'm afraid that will be very red ... All carpets are missing in my car. Thanks in advance

Got my birthcertificate some time back now. Seems that I should have tin grey carpets. Meet Jurgen from Belgium in the Le Bug Show in Spa, Belgium, a couple of weeks ago and got some rear rocker panels with the torsion holes, new headliner and some seals! Thanks Jurgen! However, the area around my spare wheel well is in pretty bad shape. I asked Jurgen if he had some replacement parts, but he didnt.. yet! So now I wonder what you guys have done to this area ? Here is some pictures from my car: I also have a thread in our norwegian forum with many pictures of some of my old and new cars if someone is interested (its written in norwegian): www.forum.vwacb.com/index.php?topic=5510.0
