Does anyone know how to make them work? Does the mechanism just get smashed in the door over the years and it needs to be bent back, or what?
Thanks, Tom

Tom - I have a bit of experience dealing with these - quite critical to have the cable adjusted correctly to allow the interlock system with the door to work properly. By that I mean the inner relative to the outer cable (small grub screw) and the fixing of the clamp to the side of the seat (8mm nut/washer). Are all the parts intact including the door bracket, lever, spring/cable assembly on inside panel?

Hi Mark No, right now everything is apart. They did not work before I took them apart and it did not seem like the strike had any movement. I noticed Bata's 67 was the same way. I know the grub screw you are talking about, and all those parts were intact, so we will give it a try.
Thanks !

Tom
I think because of the spring on the inner wing panel bracket you will not be able to apply enough force to move the door lever easily by hand. There should also be a a fibre disc about an inch in diameter attached to the door itself between the hinges by a single screw at the contact point for the lever to protect the paint. Any questions you have at the install stage, let me know.
