This week I received the prototype reproduction upper dash pad from the manufacturer. It looks great, has the right texture & shine, and has the four bolts for mounting. Need one more revision to get the pad to fit flat, since the fiberglass doesn't flex like the original foam pad. It will fit ALL T34s of all years & all models. I think everyone will be happy with the reproduction. Taking pre-orders now. I expect the final pad to be finished in a month. From there he will begin producing as many as possible to fill the pre-order list (17). Cost will be in the range of US$300 + shipping if I can get the manufacturer to lower his cost a bit. Contact LeeHedges@T34World.org to get added to the pre-order list.

It cost me big bucks to have you send an original from Germany to San Diego so I'd expect it to cost the same going the other direction.

Update on the shipping costs for the repro upper dash pads: I bought plastic wrap, boxes, bubble-wrap, & shipping tape today, then took the boxed upper dash pad to the Post Office for shipping quotes around the world. Here are my costs: • Packing supplies $10/pad • Shipping within USA & Canada $45 with tracking ($300 insurance adds $6) • Shipping internationally (UK, Germany, Australia, Brazil, Thailand, Japan) $65 with tracking ($300 insurance adds $6)
The total shipping cost for one pad within North America will be $60 & the total shipping cost internationally will be $80. This will include tracking & insurance. These shipping costs are far less expensive than from Germany to America!
If you pre-ordered an upper dash pad, I will be contacting you this week for payment. I have six pads now and more coming each week.
