Need help with rear light parts...

Hello from Germany,

I was trying to fit new NOS rear lights but realized, that my NOS lights are missing the contacts for the bulbs. Since I have several old lights I thought it would be no problem to use the parts from the old lights.

Well, I found out that there are two different contact-parts used (I call them the "early style" and the "late style"). It seems (by the way the contacts are fitted) that those contacts are not supposed to come off or to be changed. The T34 spare parts catalogue does NOT offer those contacts as spare parts, just the whole lights.

Is there any source to get what I need?

Those are exactly the contacts I need to put them into the NOS lights that don't have contacts at all.

So, if I cannot get those contacts, any other idea what to do? Weld a cable directly to the bulb...?

Hi Jörg,

Do you have "late style" contacts available ?

I don't really know if it would work, but why not trying to take off the "late style" contact base by drilling the rivets , then filing the base as the rectangular housing you have on your NOS rear light and finishing with fixing it with a good two composant epoxy glue ?

I actually have nothing more than shown on the picture. Before trying to drill or fill, maybe there is a chance/source to get the contacts that just fit...
