Hi, It seems that every time i have a question regarding where to get a hold of a few parts, t34world comes to the rescue... so, i have a few more that i need to have my KG closer to been complete, well... at least from "parts" point of view Where can i get the chrome roof gutter trim? do i buy it by the meter or is it a specific T34 part? both my door armrest (mostly the left one) are in a very bad condition Is there any way to get this renewed? it there some tutorial on how to do it? since its curves are not that simple to re-cover with black vinyl... do you think i should get a new one? if so, from where? If its o.k. , i would continue asking for parts on this thread, please feel free to post your own part search, perhaps i have a few... Thanks, Raviv.

The chrome roof gutter trim is unique to the T34, sorry, like so many other parts. This is exactly why the T34 is so rare, because it's very difficult to restore a car that is missing parts. You will need to find a used/original set of these trims or go without them. I see many T34s without these trims and simply have painted the gutters in the roof color. There are two styles of arm rest pads: early "hollow" & late "cupped". The early style has a hole all the way through the arm rest. The late style has only a cupped area to grab onto the pad, used in 1966-69 T34s. You will need to check the web sites like theSamba, ebay Germany, and ask the T34 parts suppliers like Carsten Klein (Germany) & Jurgen Magdelyns (Belgium) to see if these arm rests are available. Cost? I'd expect to pay US$50 each for uncracked originals but it could easily be as high as US$200 each. You are quickly discovering why restoring a T34 requires patience, time, and lots of money!

Hi Lee, Thanks, i was afraid that the chrome gutter trim is a T34 propriety, is there any other part that can fit ? something like a chrome trim that can be cut to length?
As for the arm rest pads, i was in contact with Jurgen, which turned out to be a stand up guy... i was amazed how helpful he is and he manage to get a hold of a few parts that i need. he got a pair of these armrests and hopefully he will send them soon.
Also got all the rubber seals from Mr. Simon Kelley today. slowly, i am gathering all the parts i need to proceed with the adventurous T34 restoration. once again, T34World proved to be THE place to get parts and meet people.

Good to hear you were able to find a source for the arm rests. Those are not easy to find. Jurgen is a great guy. And we all knew Simon would send you the seals, it just requires patience. That's a big reason why T34 restorations take years to complete.
The advantage of T34 World is having ONE source for contacts, parts, and advice so EVERYONE can benefit from the info. The repro headliners are an excellent example of this coordination. Jurgen can supply the kit, others can supply the various color options & details to make them more authentic, and then Jurgen can offer the best possible kits. That kind of synergy is where I'd hoped T34 World would be useful.

I'm sending in a bunch of brightwork for re-anodizing. Amongst these are 5 gutter trims. I'll keep you in mind, but it will be awhile before I get these parts back.
