It's getting some color - first shots of red on door jambs and back sides. There is all kinds of color here - the new cherry red (with out clear), red epoxy primer, black indicator primer, black suspension, white epoxy primer..
OK, the stall might be over again.. My buddy Chemo just didn't have the time to put into it, so I have it back. Didn't know what I was going to do, then came across a guy that after working for years at a local body shop has decided to start his own. And it will be in the town I live in instead of two hours away. He starts tomorrow. Well, here is where we are at today -

Hey - good luck with this new guy ! Maybe he needs a "Show Car" for his new own business !? To show the people how good his work will be . And for this reason he will work very good on your car ! I hope so for you . Jürgen

Well, the new guy sure has his work cut out for himself. Part of it looks like finishing up the welding, then getting the balance of bodywork completed. It wasn't easy, but I'm glad I did my own car myself. At least I knew what was done before the car got painted (inside and out). The new body guy will have to look everything over, before he can start, just so he can figure out where to pick up again. And that's the real problem of having more than 1 guy work on your project.
There's only a little welding left to do. Fortunately Chemo was there for during the heavy welding, straightening things out as they went. But you're right, it's always hard picking up something that someone else has started. Ben, the new painter, has been at it for 9 years at a local shop and is ready to get out on his own. I did get a chance to see a MGB-GT that he painted. Looked like good work.
And like Carsten a good show car can't hurt business!
