i'm restroing my fog lamps and wonded if there is any source for the springs that hold the chrome trim to the main unit, here are 4/5 of these shaped pin like units (all very rusty!) Probably a dim question! BW Graham

If you're talking about the thin metal clips that are used to hold the reflector to the chrome ring (F) then unfortunately I've never seen a repro source nor acceptable alternative available. Maybe our Thai group has already made a repro? I suppose an adventurous owner could cut & bend lengths of metal in the right shape to hand-make something that'd work. Anyone else have any ideas?

There's a spring factory near here and I already asked them if they could make springs for alternator coals. No answer yet but perhaps.
For a spring factory those springs shouldn't be a problem at all, I'll ask those too.
As far as I know, same springs are used in all lights, unless those for 5" lights are shorter than those for 7" lights, can anyone confirm?

Yes, part #F for the fog lights is shorter than the clips for the Euro bulb-type headlights. Same design but shorter.

OK, I thought so (because the diameter is smaller). Let's see if the factory is interested of mere hobbyists.

I have found some similar looking springs from VW Heritage (their part no 111-941-125/B /) here in the UK, they may be a little larger but should cut down OK, i'll let you know how they go. They were only £2.50 for seven so had to be worth a go. ;D
Best Wishes
