Hi Folks!
I bought my Type 34 Ghia 16 months ago and I am a very luck guy because there are only 11 T34s still running in Brazil. I bought this car completely disassembled from a car collector called Rubem Duailib. Duailib was restoring this car when I convinced him to sell it to me. From August 2008 until now I already spent a lot of time and money to find and buy all the missing parts. It is not an easy task because I have to import all the parts that I need and due to the currency exchange rate between Brazilian Reais and US Dollar/Euro plus customs taxes I already spent a great part of my savings! I really love T34's sixties style. My intention is to restore this car to perfection and keep it with me forever!
Feel free to contact me if you need something from Brazil (caipirinhas, mulatas, samba and much more). ;D ;D

Nice to hear from you Fernando. This is the first time I read about a Brasilian T34 owner Were T34's sold officially trough VW dealers in Brasil at the time, or were they just imported on the 'grey market'? Regards from Belgium,

Hi Paul! The Brazilian's Type 34 were imported by just one VW dealer called "LEMAR". 18 vehicles were imported in batches during 1968. Attached you can see an old Brazilian add from LEMAR. This car was really very expensive during that time and its price was equivalent to a Galaxie 500 (Luxury car) plus a VW bus together. Attachments:
