My name is Bata Mataja Pronounced Bah Tah Mah Tie Yah First name means little boy in slavic, last name is Austrian. My wife Rose and I just recently acquired our first t34 343 coupe. White ( Lotus L282 ) with an Indian Red int. Original 1968 with 57,000 miles, for all purposes I'm the second owner, it traded hands between myself and the original owner, but only so someone could flip the car and make a quick buck. It's a keeper for me. had it two weeks, when I drove it home from work I must have looked like an idiot because I had a big grin on my face for 60 miles. I would have introduced myself earlier, but I just now figured how to make this blog thing work with the help of Lee Hedges. I'm much better with cars. My
first and second cars as a kid were Ghias a 57 and then a 58, after that a Corvair so when I saw a t34 for the first time in person I was reminded of both. I'm in the L.A. area and work with cars for a living, you can see what I do on my web site www.thebadcompany.net I will say right off that after having had a lot of cars in my life the SOUND of this car brings back some very happy memories of high school and growing up, 25 cents a gallon gas and getting a quarter from my friends to help us be able to get to the beach and back.
Now on with the challenge of being the next care taker of this wonderful little car.
I hope that I will in some way be able to contribute to this group with what ever help I can offer.
ciao, bata
P.S.
hope my spelling is OK, I couldn't find the ALT+C for spell check !!!
