Over many years, since I left my T34 with the parking brake on, both of rear brakes are firmly fixed.. And I've already removed the fuel system. Does anyone know how to release the brake shoe with the engine-off? Only the way of pounding with a hammer?? Ghin

With the wheels still on the T34, try pushing down over & over on the rear fender to bounce the T34 up & down. Then put it in Neutral and try pushing/pulling it forward & backward to release the hold on the brake shoes. If that fails I would remove the wheel and use a hammer on the rear brake drums to loosen the rust.
Let us know what you eventually find is a successful solution.

How long did it sit with the brakes on? I've had this happen several times with my buses. I use one of those drum holding tools and a cheater bar to spin the drum. vwparts.aircooled.net/Axle-Gland-Nut-Leverage-Tool-Buddy-Bar-p/7055.htm It's tedious to repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the tool, but it works. You could probably make your own if you have some steel and a welder handy.

Beat it with a hammer on the drum (where the shoes sit) they will come free easily

Hi! Lee, Thom and John! Thanks for your advice! When I got a tow truck to tow my T34, we used the wire to pull, but they were still fixed. Thom, Is the special tool used such as this? http://

Yes, but you needn't go crazy with the heat.

Hi,everyone! Well,, I'll try bumping/pushing/pulling/spinning/beating/heating..shouting... and..and.. oh! it's sometimes necessary to gentle stroking. I'll keep you informed of my progress. Here in Japan, it's very hot now, so I'll do that after it gets a little more cooler. Many thanks for your advices!
