Hi all , here is my introduction with some pics . Hope you like it . I changed my 1500 S Karmann back in 1987 against an Audi 100 Avant with new TüV / mot or what else you call it . No keys - no papers - see the picture : Now I started to collect everything about this and from these cars . One year before I bought a 69 1600 L Notchback , driving it all the years up to now . Slowly starting the restauration , screwing it all to the smalest parts . Prepairing the ORIGINAL engine ( matching numbers !!) , done the axles , the brakes , the crashbox , many other small things . Bought a second T34 for cutting off the front and weld it after sand blasting at my car . Collecting parts on every veteran car market and via internet continued all over the years . Since january this year it is painted fresh in the original colours seablue with white roof . Now I`m rebuilding the car step by step . The Type 34 (and the Type 3 ) are getting 50 years in 2011 and me too . So I will do the biggest birthday present for myself . So there are 3 months left to the date and it is too cold outside and in my hall to work . Hope it will be better next week . +5°C is enough to start working . See the picture with the new painting and the lights in . Hope you like my 24 year story ! Jürgen

Looks really nice, it's good to see photo's with panels removed such as wings etc, helps to see what things should look like if you are fabricating from scratch without patterns.
Steve.

Very nice, I really like this body color.
How did you fix the VW-logo to the car? I'm still wondering how best to fix mine.
Regards,
Remco

It's a 1966 model Lorenz (?)-conversion. Trim rings from earlier model (?) When I am correct, the maya-colored beetle in the back should have license-plate number RD-PH 842 and the T34 a right side rear view mirror also... Regards Jörg see also below (picture from 1992), The red T3 to the left is Jürgens car... The Wischmeyer-car was also there at the meeting in 1992, it was painted red that time.
