They are distributing Simon Kelley's seals in North America. They're charging double than Simon and he's OK with that. It's a shame because he won't allow T34 World to distribute his seals at much lower prices for the consumers. Need price comparisons? Here are three sources for the seals: T34 Parts ---------- Simon ------ ISP West (USA) -- Status VW (UK) Front Windshield ----- 65 ------------ 150 --------------- 180 Rear Windshield ------ 65 ------------ 150 --------------- 180 Quarter Window ------ 75 ------------ 150 --------------- 188 Front Signal Seals ---- ?? ------------- 60 -------------_--- ??

But we can still get them directly from Simon at the prices you listed?

That would be the $64 Million dollar question. I have not tried but I would bet that Simon will take direct orders from anyone and ship anywhere, regardless if there is a distributor there. If you're planning to order seals from Simon, be sure to inquire if you can buy them from T34 World since you get everything else from there. See what he says.

I purchased seals from Simon not long ago, got all the different seals he had at the time. No problems dealing with Simon direct, good comms and fast shipping from him.

I purchased some of these seals through the KGOC-GB, I paid GBP 135 (approx. € 150) plus a club membership (the club is only allowed to sell to members because of tax reasons) for a front window seal, rear window seal and roof-to-door seals. IMHO, the prices ISP etc. are charging are ridiculous. I just installed the roof-to-door seals this weekend and the fit quite well, except that the horizontal part is just a bit too short in both seals I have and the vertical part (that slides into the B-pillar) seems a lot thicker than the seals that were on the car, so the windows won't roll up all the way. Where should the door window be when the door is closed? 'on' the seal or 'in' the seal?

Where should the door window be when the door is closed? 'on' the seal or 'in' the seal? Yup, I had the same problem as you. The upper horizontal piece is about 13 to 19mm too short. The B post is too thick for mine as well. Do you have a pre-66? I'm only asking, because after talking with Simon, he was going to look into producing the 63 to 65 style of upper door seal (what he's offering are the 66 to 69 style). Simon is great to work with, and didn't know there was a difference in the seals (he's had over 200 purchases, and NO feedback), until I posted over on T-34.com. I bought ALL of my seals from him back in late August of 2010. A real pleasure doing business with him. I think it should be a little of both, but none of the B post seals I've tried (other than my old ones) did this. I asked about this here back in April as well, and couldn't get any answers. What I did, was use "low light" Ghia (56 to 59) upper door seals (they're closer in profile, actually fit better, and seal the door glass to the roof opening) on mine. I'm still working on the B post, but with Tram's help, I think we have a solution. Real T-3 rear edge wing window seals (not bug units). This works great on my driver door, but I think I need to adjust the door glass for the passenger door for it to seal properly (it's close, but about 4mm short of having the glass on the lip at the bottom). As for the turn signal seals, I got a pair from Scott Taylor. I don't know where he got them, but the fit was excellent. I hope this helps.

Interesting - I did not think there was a different part listed for earlier cars - I cannot see an alternative part number in the book/microfiche I have.
I have a set of Simon's seals fitted to my 1968 344 and would say the fit is pretty spot on, but I know the door/window gaps are consistent on this car. I was also able to trim the extra length on the B post to eliminate a small amount of daylight visible where it joins the lower door sea and scraper. In the heavy rain at GMH I did not get any leaks in this area!
From memory there is a small amount of adjustment on a moveable plate at the top of the B post which might help.
