Hi, I just joined the forum. A Karmann Ghia type 34 was on my wish list for a long time. 4 weeks ago I bought this car finally (1968). The car is being restored. However the previous owners did not finish the job in the last 17 years. I plan to finish it this year, however some parts are missing of which the most important is the engine. The car is in a very good condition but should still be repainted (in the original color: lotus white and black roof). In searching an engine I bought a type 3 variant (1972) to use the engine. However this car also broke my hart and I will keep it and do some repairs to the bodywork. So I am still looking for an engine (without a car ) for the Karmann Ghia. I am living in The Netherlands, The Hague. Regards, Dick Pronk

I'm sure there will be spare engines nearby to you for use with your 1968. I would suggest you contact Carsten Klein (Germany) & Jurgen Magdelyns (Belgium) for their assistance. They are finding old T34s and likely already have a few options for you. You can contact them at CarstenKlein@T34World.org and JurgenMagdelyns@T34World.org or you can use the Private Messaging feature on this forum.
