Sorry for the delay in publishing the #15 edition … long family weekend kept me away from the computer. But now #15 is here and it’s packed with 34 pages of T34 goodness with articles from Switzerland, Germany, USA, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, France, & Belgium. Special thanks to Philip Egger (our Switzerland rep) for going above & beyond to get the photos & information on the beautiful Anthracite early-1962 Coupe. www.leehedges.com/t34/t34world/t34worldnews2012no15.pdfEnjoy! We have five kids from 27 to 4 years old so our family life is unusually complicated. Soccer practices/tournaments with three kids keeps us busy driving around San Diego. And last weekend was the beginning of the kids Spring Break, so they're all at home and wanting to do things. I work in biotechnology / pharmaceutical instrumentation sales, traveling to client labs, doing demos, and solving researchers problems in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, & New Mexico. I have an understanding & patient wife, Kathe (from German heritage in the Stuttgart area) who puts up with my T34 life and still manages to like me even though my attention is more often in my laptop than on her. So between my wife, five kids, and a real job ... life is a constant list of things to do.
Usually I can find an hour per night to develop articles for each edition. At any one time I'm working on 6-8 articles with different people around the world. Asking questions, begging for photos, and researching details all takes time. The rep team really helps out with the languages and twisting arms locally. It's always a rush when the articles come together into an interesting edition. And then Bob Walton creates the compressed PDF for each edition, taking a 30MB file down to less than 5MB in most cases.
It's a team effort ...
