Here's a T34 World policy that most of you are already aware of but now deserves to be public. Every T34 World forum member is required to use their full name. When they join-up I email them directly to politely ask if they'll add their full name to their profile. The vast majority respond & comply with a smile. Some don't respond so their profiles are removed after 30 days. Only one requested to be removed if his full name was a requirement to be a forum member. Of course anyone can still have access to the site & forum information as an unregistered user, but won't be able to contribute in the discussions.
Why require real full names? I've seen many cases in online forums where people have hidden behind their profile names and generated negative discussions, initiated attacking/aggressive behavior, and generally have been unfriendly. This kind of communication will not be tolerated on this site. Using real names keeps people honest, friendly, and public. It also keeps the discussions positive for everyone. T34 World is all about helping T34 owners with their restorations. This policy is one way to facilitate happiness & friendly exchanges.
If you have an opinion, whether in agreement or not, please share your thoughts for all to read.

I have no problem with that at all, we dont need that kind of behaviour anyway so if this helps to stop that then I'm all for it.

Same here! The forum isn't very active, but that's what keeps it manageable, readible and very, very useful!

Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is. I know of a guy at another forum that is in law enforcement and has to be careful about folks knowing everything about him so he would shy away from giving out too much info. Other than that...

I have no problem with it. If I were in law enforcement I might. But then, this web site isn't very active, compared to the Samba t-3 forum (where I spend a lot of time). ;D Hey, somebodies got to help the T-3 newbies. I've also been a member there since 2003.

I don't have any issue with that... I am new to the T34 world and will need all the help and knowledge I can get. I thank you all for any help I can get and thanks Lee for your help so far.

Personally don't have any issue with this policy.... It's not a requirement on my forum and many others I'm a regular on.... But when it all comes down to it.... The Admin/Mod has the last say.... If you have an issue, the cancel button is easy to access..... Cheers to all that have helped me with my own project, and cheers to you Lee for keeping this place rolling.
