I'm looking for one of these in better shape. This one was mangled, but they powder coated it anyway.

Are these supposed to be black or body color? The one in m '62 is body color.

The 1962s had several parts that were painted body color and the spare tire cover is one of those. The trapdoor lid was also painted body color.
1963-69 T34s all had black spare tire covers.

So the part in question is called a "Spare tire cover?"
What is the trapdoor lid? Is that the inner engine lid?
Is there a T34 nomenclature FAQ?

No, there's no FAQ for T34 terminology. These things come with experience, asking questions, just like you're doing. And by all means, my terminology is not the same as the rest of the world's terminology.
The trapdoor is the engine cover that is painted underneath. The 1962s were painted the lower body color. The 1963-69s were painted black.
The spare tire cover is a hinged metal panel that covers up the spare tire from view. The 1962s were painted the lower body color. The 1963-69s were painted black.
