Greetings from New London, CT. I've been in the Volkswagen hobby since before I could drive, and bought the first Type 34 I ever saw in person....sadly, that was 16 years ago, and the project is still that.
Finding the Pure34 group about a year ago re-energized my focus on the Type 34, and I've been working to get my January, 1962 Type 34 ready for restoration. The car is complete, but rusty and sun-beaten, so I'll have my hands full.
In the meantime, my fleet of air-cooled VW's includes a 1959 SO-23 Westfalia, a few 1960's Beetles, a 1964 1500S Notchback, 1965 Variant 1500S, 1971 hardtop Westfalia, 1971 Singlecab, 1999 Mexi-beetle, and my daily driver, a 2011 GTI.
I look forward to meeting other T 34 owners and helping folks when I can.
Allyn

Hi Allyn. Seems like Anthracite was a pretty popular color. That's how mine came off the line and will eventually return to. (It's blue and white now.) Impressive fleet you have there!
I live in southern PA so we're at least on the same coast. Many years ago I came close to buying a '69 Ghia convertible in New London. Unfortunately it had been misrepresented as to its condition.
Good luck with your restoration!
