Are these not available anymore from karmannghia.de? Doesn't show them on the website from what I can see, no one else producing them?

Been looking into this and since PoP is no longer around has anyone considred early 911 vent glass seals? or Mercedes W111 maybe? Early 911 has a hinge part way down the front edge of the glass but since no one has any over here for me to look at its a little difficult. I'm thinking if the profile was close one could cut and join them to suit.
Can't see the closing edge seal being that hard to find, probably early Beetle convertible up to 64 is seperate like the T34. I checked late Bug sedan but its a little too wide where it would clip into the frame, could be done but just not quite right.

So, has anyone used another type of vent wing seal that is "good enough", since they are impossible to find? VW, Porsche, Corvair?
I found a gasket caulk, Permatex "The Right Stuff", which, if you make a smooth thin coat over cracked rubber (windshield or door seal), it is flexible and has the right flat rubber look. It even worked on a piece in the freezer and kept its flexibility. I haven't gotten to the point of trying it on the car since I haven't started reassembly yet. I don't know how it would stand up to vent window or door gasket use, with constant rubbing. I may try it on a spare vent window in the basement and open and close it a bunch to see how it wears.
