Free (free? Free?? Yes) 11th annual Harsh Winters VW Club Show at D'Arcy VW 2861 W Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. The show starts at 9:00 am, trophies at 2:00 pm. 22 air cooled VW trophies (Doug has won his share of these) 10 water cooled VW trophies, and a Best of Show Porsche trophy will be awarded. The first 125 cars entered into the car show will recieve a free event T shirt and dash plaque.
Free spectator parking and admission. Free lunch provided by D'Arcy, with donations accepted in the lunch line for our favorite charity, GiGi's Playhouse, a Downs Syndrome awareness center in Aurora, IL. Kids will enjoy the Chalk-a-Bug, and full sized jumper. Lots of swappers. Swap spaces are only $15.00 for a 20 X 10. Swap set up starts at 7:00 am. A DJ will play your favorite tunes.

So glad to hear the show is in August. My husband will be there for 2 weeks to visit family and friends and watch some midget racing. We are previously from Minooka, Illinois and now retired in San Tan Valley, Az. We have 4 vw's: 1968 ghia t34 (non restored), 1971 squareback (restored back to stock), 1981 vw rabbit convertible and a 1988 vw rabbit cabriolet (rescued from the junkyard). He will be so excited to visit the car show. He use to own K & B Auto Repair on the frontage rd, shorewood.
