I bought my 1965 in 2013 in Tennessee. The body was stripped to bare metal and put in storage- so I could see the small amount of body work it needed. During 2013 I got it blasted and epoxy primer, stripped everything off the body and interior, and worked on getting the brakes working and the engine running. I had a friend's wife from work do the seats and door panels as well as did some blasting and painting of small parts. I sent it out for body work and painting early 2014. At the end of summer I got the car back and have started putting the car back together. Updates will come as things get done...

Installing the headliner (from M&T). Had some problems with getting the vinyl tight enough- glue was really good and I didn't want to force the fabric. Second time I did get it nice and tight, pulling it hard but not enough to pull the rods down. Some threads recommend doing the front, then the sides, then the back. I was able to get it nice by doing the front, then the back, then the sides. This is my first time doing a headliner so maybe I just don't have the experience. One thing I had my body guy do it weld a flat piece on the rear pillar so it is smooth, not indented. When putting the vinyl on, it was nicer than screwing around with the cardboard and the irregular surface. I also folded over the fabric where the headliner meets the pillar material. Looks a little cleaner I think.

I hope you have not forgotten to drill the holes for the pop out windows !? ( And for the cable for the heatet rear window if you have/want one and switched over to 12 Volt ) But it looks better this way , yes . Show us more pics from the next steps ! Jurgen

Finally got the motor installed after getting new bushings for the throttle bodies, and adjusting timing. Runs smooth.
