Hi fellow Razors.......as my 68 is progressing along, I was wondering if someone could do a top and bottom dash dap replacement segment with pics ? Are all years similar? or are they different for different years ? I know Lee was working on trying to get some RHD ones made up....so how is that going Lee ? Do the pads pull off and then slide back on with adhesive ? ( as I can't seem to find any screws or bolts on the top pad ) the bottom pad seems to have a couple of screws on the under side. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys !!!!!!

The RHD early (1962-67) lower dash pad is almost finished. The upper dash pad (all years & models) is finished. Unfortunately the Aussie post won't allow them into the country due to the length, so you have to use FedEx/UPS/DHL at extremely overpriced cost. I also have a LHD late model lower dash pad (1968-69) that Rick Christensen (USA) graciously allowed me to borrow to make the mold. But that won't help your RHD 1968 I'm afraid. Finding someone with a good uncracked late RHD lower dash pad (that is willing to remove it & send it to me) is the only way I will be able to reproduce them.
Installing the upper & lower dash pads is quick & easy. 10mm nuts hold the studs into the dash holes. The upper one has four and the lower one has 6-7. Often water gets into the pads from a leaky window seal and rusts the bolts, so when owners try to remove them the stud comes loose from the pad. I use a long socket extension with 10mm socket and get it onto the nuts by hand first, then apply the socket wrench to loose it carefully, then use the extension by hand to remove the nut.

Thanks Lee.....when I look at my upper dash pad, I cannot see any nuts or screws....nothing...are they located near the dash vents?
