Hi Lee,
What an amazing website and compendium of all things T34.
I am looking into buying a T34 and would like to know how many RHD were made please and how many might be remaining in the World?
I hope to hear from you soon and watch this space as fingers crossed i'll have one soon !!
Best wishes,
Neil Camp (Kent UK)

Karmann & Volkswagen did not share production model records, mostly to prevent its competition from knowing its volume. That means we have no way to know how many RHD T34s were made. However, because I maintain the T34 World database with known surviving T34s I can make some estimations on the percentages of each model based on surviving data. The database has 1384 T34s and there are 75% LHD Coupes (1040), 13% RHD Coupes (179), 9% LHD Electric Sunroofs (133), 2% RHD Electric Sunroofs (21), & 0.004% Cabriolets (5). You can find this data by going to the T34 World web site (www.T34World.org) and clicking on the REGISTRY tab at the top. There are Since we know that 42,505 T34s were built over the eight year production period, that means that it's likely that the percentages of survivors would be the same as the percentage of production. Those calculations mean there were 31,880 LHD Coupes, 5525 RHD Coupes, 3825 LHD Electric Sunroofs, & 850 RHD Electric Sunroofs.
Hope that's the info you were hoping to hear.

Hi Lee,
Thanks for your knowledgeable reply!
I sent you an e-mail introducing myself as the proud new owner of CPP 625B and giving you my contact details so that you are able to update the register. I am really excited about it and look forward to being part of the T34 community.
Best wishes,
Neil Camp (Kent, England, UK)

Your Sea Blue 1964 RHD Coupe is one of my all-time favorites! Beautifully-preserved solid Ice Blue seat upholstery & Cerulean Blue interior panels! It has a long & well-documented past. I'm sure you'll fall in-love with T34s from now on. Watch out though, they tend to multiply ... Attachments:
