The engine is running , done my first feet on the private ground with the own original engine . Think that it will be the first time since ca 1973 that this machine is under fire . Jürgen

Jürgen I love your car, as it reminds me of my 64 (same colors). I too just got mine running (with original engine) after 15 months (that I've had it) or since 1968 when the original owner crashed it.

Yes , Bob , I`ve seen your car and also I`ve seen that you have fired your engine up after all this time . I own this car since 1987 . Bought it not running in baaaad condition ( for that time ) . Now I have seen that there is no hazard light switch in the car as it is the law for cars since January 1. 1973 . That brings me to the idea that the car is out of the traffic since 1972 . With only 39007 km on the speedo . And Bob : Let me see when you beautifull blue / white car is finished if it will be a twin to mine !! Btw : In my car the original 1500 S - engine is working and also there are the original carbs in it !
The white mudflaps I found 17 years before in southern germany at the second store of a Volkswagen - dealer only for parts fallen out of the normal program .... I was very lucky to find this and some more rare parts . Nobody was interested in NOS - things for the 34 at that time . I was one of only a few in germany looking for parts . And I will be in Gemahü in 2 weeks !! That was my goal ! Greetings Jürgen
